Kleinfelder is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op Student for Spring/Summer 2022. This is an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment on projects that impact our communities in an environment committed to technical quality and growth. The position could involve work in land development, infrastructure design, construction document preparation, storm water management facilities, solar site design, pipeline facilities, trenchless technology design, sediment and erosion control, and permitting.
Responsibilities would include:
- Continuously interact with and learn from junior and senior level technical staff;
- Prepare evaluations, calculations, reports, drawings and specifications;
- Assist with field assignments including evaluation and observation;
- Contribute to writing technical reports and correspondence;
- Attend client and regulatory meetings;
- Participate in construction management assignments; and
- Assist with the administration and coordination of projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited program for civil engineering and actively pursuing completion of degree;
- Able to apply civil engineering concepts to problem solving involving design challenges;
- Able to work well in a team environment;
- Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work; and
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
