Job Description

American Systems is seeking a Combat Control Systems (AN/BYG-1) Engineering Technician to support efforts in Groton, CT.

As a Combat Control Systems Engineer Technician you will:

A week in the life of a Combat Control Systems Engineer Technician:

  • Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1systems
  • Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
  • Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
  • Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
  • Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
  • Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts
Job Requirements
  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Technical (Military/Trade) school/training beyond high school and at least 8 years of job-related experience or an equivalent
  • Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Preferred Qualifications

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.  The salary range for this position is $65,000 – 82,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.  AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans (including ESOP and 401k), insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
