Job Description

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Survey Technician to add to our team.  Our goal is to employ the right individuals to be a part of our team, learning and working with experienced professionals who will help provide the formal training and mentoring needed to grow professionally and strive toward the opportunities that Loureiro can offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private clients;
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations, and working with other staff and clients on these projects;
  • Directs the crewmembers in the performance of their duties and mentor and coach them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow;
  • Researches existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents; and maintains field data records, survey project files, and indexing systems;
  • May perform mapping compliance or other related office survey duties as a temporary assignment in order to satisfy the training/experience requirement for the Professional Land Surveyor's License.


Requirements:

  • knowledge of professional surveying practices and procedures and state and federal laws affecting land surveying and boundaries;
  • high school diploma or equivalent required;
  • good communication and team skills;
  • GPS, Robotic Total Station and Carlson/AutoCAD experience preferred.
