Overview

Milton CAT is an established and privately owned growing company looking to expand our HR team with the addition of a new HR Business Partner. This role will significantly and positively impact the evolution of HR within our culture through strong partnerships with management. To be successful, this person will need to be highly motivated, creative and an influential thought leader who can serve our internal customers.

The HR Business Partner will be an integral part of our Corporate HR team. The successful candidate will bring high energy, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of implementing strategic people plans. The HR Business Partner should have the ability to be both strategic and operational, owning the people plan aligned to the Company objectives, as well as front-line issues, managing them through to resolution. The HR Business Partner will leverage their understanding of HR principles in support of business goals to help increase workforce effectiveness. The position requires strong collaboration with business unit leaders, managers, employees and HR team members.

Responsibilities
    Act as subject matter expert to coach and advise leaders and employees on all matters impacting the employee experience including employee development, capability building, employee relations concerns, conflict resolution, performance management, organizational change, compensation management, team development and HR policies.
  • Will be the face of HR to the business functions ensuring operational excellence to HR strategic initiatives including leadership development, succession planning, workforce planning, inclusion and diversity, employee engagement and overall process improvements.
  • Work closely with business function management on day to day operational people needs, build morale, increase employee commitment, engagement, productivity and retention. Provide coaching and consulting to managers in order to enhance their people and performance management skills.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to drive strategic recruitment activities for growth demands, driving inclusion and diversity, and effective onboarding.
  • Help facilitate communication, training and rollout of any new HR programs and initiatives within the business units.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5+ years of related HR experience, including prior HR business partner experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building trust.
  • Excellent influencing skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience to effectively address sensitive HR issues
  • Process and metrics oriented - including the ability to use data to make sound business decisions about people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt content of a message for the receiving audience in order to produce the best response
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic partner and to execute at all levels
