The College offers two bachelor's degrees, five master's degrees that can be completed on campus, online, or in a combination, and a PhD in Business Administration which consists of the Finance track, the Organizations and Social Change (OSC) track, and the Information Systems for Data Science and Management track. Total enrollment in the College has grown rapidly to about 2,500 students. The College has a Center for Collaborative Leadership, a Digital Media Lab, an Entrepreneurship Center, a Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness, a Financial Services Forum, and participates in cross-college initiatives such as the Sustainable Solutions Lab and the Venture Development Center. Numerous opportunities for research and collaboration exist with faculty, businesses, governmental agencies, institutes, and research centers in the university system and in the greater Boston area. The region is a global hub of innovation and expertise in a number of sectors, including financial services, clean tech, healthcare, life sciences, education, and software development.

The University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) has outstanding research programs in a number of fields and has been designated as an institution of "high research activity" by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Located on Boston Harbor in one of the most intellectually rich and innovative cities in the United States, UMass Boston is recognized nationally as a model of excellence for urban universities. Its nine colleges and schools enroll about 16,000 students and employ more than 800 full-time and part-time faculty, who provide over 200 academic programs leading to baccalaureate, certificates, master's, and doctoral degrees. UMB is located on the recently completed Harbor Walk, a picturesque forty-seven-mile oceanside promenade in Boston, and shares the Columbia Point Peninsula with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Archives, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Museum and Archive, and the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate. UMB is also part of the thriving university ecosystem in greater Boston and of the broader UMass university system.

UMass Boston is an urban public research university with a teaching soul, whose impact is both local and global. We are the third most diverse university in the country - more than 60% of our undergraduate students come from minoritized communities and groups and more than half of our students are the first in their families to attend a college or university. Thus, our students come to us from richly diverse life experiences and backgrounds; they bring to our classrooms and research settings the robust range of perspectives growing out of the socio-cultural, economic, and historical contexts in which they have lived, along with the challenges they encounter, engage, and strive to overcome. We invite applications from candidates who engage the diverse life experiences of our student body, who appreciate that students bring their holistic selves into the academic setting, and who recognize and articulate how their own life experiences and backgrounds have shaped their journeys, practices, and commitments as researchers, scholars, and educators.

UMass Boston is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, we will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations for the hiring process. If reasonable accommodation is needed, please contact or 617-287-5150.
