Job Description

Community Care Alliance is proud to offer an array of services supporting individuals who are homeless/unstably housed and coping with mental health and substance use challenges. Many of these services are part of Safe Haven.

The Harm Reduction Team is focused on saving lives by providing naloxone and education about its use, as well as a wide variety of supplies to ensure that individuals engaged in active substance use can stay alive and as healthy as possible.

Services are delivered at our Safe Haven drop-in center and throughout the community. We are outdoors regularly and interacting with people in homeless encampments and other gathering spaces. We work closely with a wide variety of community partners.

  • Must be certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist or willing to work towards certification. The cost of this training is covered.
  • Support clients to build recovery capital if they are willing. Connect clients to Detox and higher levels of care.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate an understanding of mental health and substance use issues. Able to use an EHR and document services electronically.
