As aMarineAssembly Technician for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing processes in one or more areas: Clean and dismantle controllable pitch propeller (CPP) hubs and associated internal parts for inspection and final assembly.

As a Marine Assembly Technician with us at Rolls-Royce, you have the opportunity toassemble new and overhauled propeller hubs and waterjet propulsion impellers, provide assistance in packaging of completed assemblies for shipment, assist in propeller blade installation and removal as required for balance and testing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • As a Marine Technician youwould demonstrate theability to follow Technical Instructions, Manufacturing Instructions and Quality Specifications to consistently perform operations in assigned area and Understand and interpret drawings in order to execute rework as required.
  • Operate precision tools and equipment to perform accurate dimensions without error.
  • Use advanced troubleshooting logic to identify complex operation and/or process issues in assigned area.
  • Inform engineers of basic to intermediate issues when necessary. Execute solutions provided by engineers and customer advocates to meet the work scope requirements.
  • Ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, must be able to perform work in an area with exposure to dust and chemicals.
  • Commitment to the assembler hours ofwork are7:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime worked as needed

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience
  • Mechanical skill set or aptitude, previous experience working as a mechanic
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Indicators, etc.)

  • Experience with forklifts, cranes and lifting devices
