The Medical Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
  • Providing medical care to patients Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Boston Children's Hospital Waltham and Boston
  • Working collaboratively with the Hospitalist to provide patient assessment, evaluation and facilitation of medical treatment
  • Working with patients' primary care providers and specialists to coordinate care.
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions that enhance patient care systems and patient safety for the psychiatric population
  • Providing education, consultation, leadership, and development of progressive nursing practice and research with the professional nursing staff
  • Serving as a resource and educator to patients, families and staff around management of medical conditions and their relation to psychiatric disorders
  • 24 hours; 8 hour shifts rotating days and every third weekend
  • Float between Waltham and Boston locations

To qualify, you must have...

  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience and psychiatric experience preferred
  • Current Pediatric or Family NP certification

*Sign-on bonus of $3,000.00 for full time NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
