Job/Internship Description

To be eligible for PGE's Internship program, you must be at least 18 years old and have met one of the following criteria:

A high school senior that has enrolled in a college or trade school

A current college or trade school student who is returning to college or a trade school as a full-time student

A recent 2022-2023 college graduate

Undergraduate Business Intern - Data Input and Records Management

Data Input and Records Management will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and organized records for the site and as we move into a new building. This internship offers a unique opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in the nuclear industry, develop valuable skills in data management, and contribute to critical initiatives that ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

In this role you will:

  • Input and update data related to equipment, materials, and documents into the designated database or records management system.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data entries.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic records according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the implementation of record retention policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, scanning, and document retrieval.

This position is located on-site at the decommissioned Trojan facility in Rainier, OR and may require working the occasional weekend.

  • Departmental Support May perform administrative, coordination or technical tasks, such as completing spreadsheets in support of department assigned.
  • Research and Analysis May perform research and analysis under general supervision. May gather qualitative or quantitative data and develop reports or spreadsheets.
  • Internship Program Events May participate in company-sponsored internship activities.


Education/Experience/Certifications

  • Currently an actively enrolled undergraduate student (recent graduate or GED accepted) in good standing and pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to the internship; GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred.
  • Some prior volunteer or work experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping tasks.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and records management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Requires a valid Drivers License and a history of safe driving practices.

Compensation Range:

$16.00 - $36.00

Actual total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
