Job Description

Looking For: A Technical Instructor for future support of the TACNET program in Groton, CT.

A week in the life of a Technical Instructor:

  • Provide training support services including development of CANES system training requirements and documentation of those requirements in the CANES Navy Training System Plan (NTSP).
  • Design training solutions, procures HW/SW and engineering services for installation of those training solutions at Fleet Concentration Area (FCA) sites.
  • Develops Navy Standard courses implementing the training solutions and conducts CANES technical training
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

At least Five (5) years of experiece in:

  • An instructor role in a technical trade or craft such as electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, to include: developing appropriate course material, hands on practical experience with techniques being taught, and researching latest technical discipline practices.
  • Navy's Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
  • Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.
  • Experience should include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration. Experience in training TACNET, CANES or with COR approval, other Navy C4I systems.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
