Join Our Team as a Central Sterile Processing & Supply Service Line Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital!

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Central Sterile Processing Service Line Coordinator. Reporting to the CSR Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth coordination of all product deliveries to the Operating Rooms, resolving challenges, and maintaining a constant supply of instruments for patient use.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central point of contact between nursing and CSPS, ensuring timely information transfer.
  • Coordinate reprocessing plans and anticipate sterile instrument shortages to minimize disruptions.
  • Actively participate in Service Line Update Meetings, providing project status updates and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Respond to room concerns related to sterile instrument set quality or availability and escalate critical events when necessary.
  • Inspect sterile goods for expiration dates and package integrity and coordinate delivery to the destination.
  • Operate IUSS Sterilizers and assist with inventories and stock rotation as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in hospital-based computer applications and maintain inventory control practices.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational, operations, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and exposure to instrument tracking software.
  • Ability to multitask, show initiative, and prioritize workloads in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain CRCST certification and have 3 years of progressive Sterile Processing experience.
  • Experience gained as a Lead SPD Technician or Surgical Scrub Tech is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotating on-call requirements and exposure to the Operating Room environment.
  • Involves large amounts of time walking, standing, and may require manual labor.
  • Must frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and adhere to a strict dress code, including wearing surgical scrubs.
