Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Job Summary:

The Outpatient Clinic Assistant is responsible for the reception, triage and scheduling of clients in the PHP/IOP/MAT Program at the Groton outpatient clinic.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with client screening, admission and discharge, orientation, and assessment functions as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Collect and complete vital signs, urine screens, and admission health screening data.
  • Assure enforcement of program rules.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of daily schedules and appointments.
  • Manage provider schedules and verify accurate billing of services.
  • Ensure accurate daily billing census and client attendance is submitted daily.
  • Assure proper triage, scheduling and completion of approved consults.
  • Participate in assigned meetings and conference calls to assist with dissemination and collection of client information.
  • Provide basic medical assistance to clients for providers (i.e., taking patient vitals).

Qualifications

High School diploma required, bachelors preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in the medical field required. CPR certification required.
