Job Description

We are searching for a Project Estimator Il - Engineering & Construction for a 1 yr. contract assignment. This person will be a key member of the inventive and vibrant preconstruction estimating team and will support design of projects. This person will have experience in estimating who understands construction means and methods,

In this role, the person will collaborate with cross functional teams involved in project development, planning, and execution to develop project estimates and improve estimating tools.

This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects. CapEx models include all engineering, material, direct construction, and indirect construction costs. The person will provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, and staffing considerations during the estimating process.

Location: Juno Beach, FL. or Remote

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibilities include leading the preparation of estimate and the development of pricing models.
  • Prepares capital cost estimates.
  • Review designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives when appropriate.
  • Coordinate and interface on a regular basis with other departments to ensure communication and understanding of proposal/project objectives and the most efficient and productive utilization of resources
  • Review layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives when appropriate
  • Remains current with technology and industry evolution in order to assure that project capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions
  • Establish, build and implement metric's for cost and construction estimate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: Entry Level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in the following Fields of Study
    • Engineering - Mechanical
    • Engineering - Civil
    • Construction Science
    • Construction Management
  • Experience:1+ years in estimating or construction on large, heavy civil projects in the power market sector
  • Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in renewables.
