About This Role:

Forrester is seeking a portfolio marketing specialist to support go-to-market activities, planning, and activation. In this role, you will help the team create and manage assets across multiple audience groups to drive growth for all relevant products and solutions in Forrester's portfolio.

The ideal portfolio marketing specialist exhibits a deep curiosity for markets and buyers to create materials and support prioritized audience segments. They must work cross-functionally to collaborate with peers from different teams (e.g. product management, sales enablement, research, digital production, customer marketing, brand & creative, corporate communications, web, field marketing). The portfolio marketing specialist must have a proven track record of collaborating on market-facing and internal assets related to buying audiences and their needs. A strong understanding of messaging, value storytelling, and translating product feature sets to benefits for a designated buyer persona is paramount.

Job Responsibilities:

Market and audience insights gathering:

  • Gather data and insights about target personas, buying group members, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for Forrester's products in support of market and customer research

  • Contribute to segmentation and targeting exercises that identify the segments with the highest propensity to buy

  • Document market requirements to support product development decision-making

  • Monitor and report on the performance of products in the market and communicate the results of related sales and marketing efforts

Positioning, messaging, and launches:

  • Support product positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategies that resonate with the buying audience

  • Collaborate with marketing peers to produce and maintain relevant content for target buyers

  • Assist in product naming by providing market, competitive and customer context

  • Support launch planning and tiering activities related to the commercial release of a product

Asset creation and support:

  • Collaborate with sales enablement and/or product specialists to support sales enablement plans, activities, and maintain market-facing content used by sales

  • Develop customer references, testimonials, and case studies for external and internal use

  • Review, update, and maintain assets in the global sales content management system and aid in necessary platform updates

  • Produce trend reports to identify asset usage patterns and opportunities for further support

  • Help design experiences that highlight audience-relevant offerings at Forrester events.

  • Reinforce a consistent approach to portfolio marketing at Forrester, leveraging Forrester best practices and frameworks.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, or similar role with transferable skills.

  • A proven writer and clear communicator with demonstrated capabilities to distill complex concepts into simple but powerful visuals and stories.

  • Domain understanding of the marketing, sales, product, digital, and technology functions to which Forrester sells.

  • Comfort in marketing tangible and intangible products.

  • High clock speed and ability to work without constant oversight or a support team.

  • Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills across functional groups.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
