Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Manager to lead our R&D Process Operations team. This role is part of our engineering team. The team is responsible for supplying electrolyte and electrode components, centered around our latest advancements for our internal testing efforts. Your team works on scaling, stabilizing, and continuously improving processes to fulfill our internal demand. As the manager you work cross-functionally in partnership with our R&D, materials, and process engineering teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:
  • Lead and develop a team of 12 technicians, supervisors, and process engineers

  • Aid in the introduction, scale-up, and continuous improvement of flexible internal R&D processes

  • Manage a strategic resourcing schedules and meet the ever changing demand from our internal customers

  • Establish robust process controls that report on stability and capability

  • Collaborate with our facilities, infrastructure and engineering teams on larger changes for new and scaled processes

  • Be a champion of safety for a growing team and novel processes

What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a process operations or engineering generalist

  • 3+ years with people manager responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in a chemical or material R&D lab or production environment

  • Good working knowledge of statistical thinking for industrial problem solving

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Science, or a related field
