Responsibilities

* Requires daily contact with customers, attorneys, bank officers, and insurance agents by phone and/or letters
* Order flood determinations for new commercial loans in process
* Reviews all commercial and mortgage new loans for proper hazard/flood insurance coverage/documentation
* Tracks flood insurance policies for lapses in coverage
* Prepares and sends required regulatory letters to customers to obtain the proper flood insurance coverage
* Review all flood insurance policies to ensure we are in line with regulations and bank policies
* Work monthly vendor reports in relation to flood and hazard insurance monitoring and force placement
* Review all new mortgage loan files to ensure our lien is properly placed on UCC and Titles for mobile homes
* Process flood determination disputes from branches and customers
* Process flood zone discrepancies with insurance agents and companies
* Process flood/hazard insurance cancellations and refund requests
* Cooperates with employees within the department and other departments to provide quality service, solve problems and achieve goals across the bank
* Performs other related duties as assigned

* Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion


Qualifications

Experience:
* Prefer at least two (2) years' experience in banking with emphasis in Loan Operations or equivalent in office experience

Education, Training and Requirements:
* Associates degree in business-related field or equivalent in relative work experience.
* Overtime required

Skills:
* Strong attention to detail as well as proven organizational and analytical skills
* Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
* Strong PC skills; including creation, use and manipulations of Excel spreadsheets and MS Word
* Mathematical aptitude


Other Job Information

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 TEMP POSITION

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
