Fossil Group is currently searching for a Tax Accountant to join their team. This Tax accounting position is responsible for both income and non-income tax compliance for the Americas.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare state and local income tax returns and franchise tax returns, annual reports, estimated payments and extensions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of federal partnership and corporate income tax returns.
  • Prepare tax work papers, schedules, exhibits and research summaries necessary to develop and support findings and/or recommendations.
  • Prepare aspects of the Company's ASC 740 tax provision.
  • Maintain financial statement tax accounts, including proper record-keeping and maintenance of tax accounting records for each Americas entity.
  • Assist with federal tax audits and state income/franchise audits.
  • Respond to IDRs, notices, inquiries, and general correspondence with taxing authorities.
  • Perform tax research and provide conclusions thereon.
  • Provide technical advice on multi-state tax issues
  • Prepare annual 1099 forms and maintain vendor setups.
  • Prepare Form 940 PF return for Fossil Foundation.

Your Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred
  • 1 year tax compliance experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze, and interpret tax legislation and applicable governmental policies, general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at both the technical and lay level
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Experience with Onesource Tax software preferred. SAP, Hyperion, Excel Word
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Flexible to accommodate growing needs of Tax Department
  • Bias towards action and completion of projects
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
